Before stepping into the world of home inspections, Matthew sharpened his leadership skills in the vending industry, managing operations and ensuring client satisfaction across the board. This background gave him a sharp eye for detail and a deep appreciation for getting the job done efficiently and with care.

Outside of work, Matthew is passionate about giving back. You’ll often find him attending local civic organization meetings and supporting fundraising events throughout the community. His connection to the people he serves is genuine, and it shows in every inspection he performs.

I joined the Naval Reserve as a “Seabee” in 2008, where I first started working in construction.  I fell in love with watching the phases of construction.  While attending night classes to become a home inspector, I purchased my first home in 2017.

Helping homeowners make great decisions on their home purchases is what I enjoy most about my job.  I find it essential to treat each inspection as if I were purchasing the property for my family.  This mindset creates a positive and memorable experience for every client.

I attended Central Piedmont Community College, Gregory Enterprises Continuing Education Course.

I got into the Home Inspection business to help people when they’re buying a home. The stress accompanying a home inspection can be overwhelming, especially for first-time home buyers.  Understanding the Buyer’s expectations helps me better protect my Clients by giving them accurate reporting with a mechanically driven mindset.

In my free time, I love spending time with my family, enjoying time on Lake Norman, and being outdoors. Being active in the community is important to me.  I participate in 24-48 hour endurance events modeled after Army Special Forces training called GORUCK.  I am the Rucking Ambassador/Director for the Charlotte Novant Marathon Ruck Division, a Master Mason in Williams Lodge 176, and have co-lead.F3 Nation Rucking.

I am originally from West Virginia and relocated to North Carolina to attend graduate school. After working in the construction trade for the last several years, I gained insight in the construction of a house from creation to completion. I met many home inspectors during this time and realized this would be a role that I would thrive in and enjoy. I feel that a house is one of the most important financial acquisitions a family can make, and I would like to help ease the minds of homebuyers. I enjoy the outdoors, sports, and spending time with family and friends in my spare time.

I am an NC native, grew up in Shelby, and now live in the Sherrills Ford/Denver area. I have always enjoyed working with my hands, and I am a bit of a farm boy turned DIYer. I worked on several big projects with my father-in-law. His 30+ years of construction and re-modeling knowledge; helped jump-start my career as a home inspector. A career change in 2020 working with Industrial Cooling Manufacturer led me into this industry.

Buying a home is a HUGE investment, and if I can help that process be less stressful, that’s just good karma.

I love to cook and grill (I make a mean Chicken/Turmeric rice dish), be outside in any capacity, and I love learning new things. I participate in GORUCK events in my free time, which are 24-48 hour continual endurance events. I also enjoy Tactical Tournament rifle/pistol competitions.

Originally from Pennsylvania, I moved to the Charlotte area in 2009. I have been a member of the Army National Guard since 2002 and have deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan, where I specialized in munitions and explosives in an attack helicopter unit.

I am currently married and have a dog, two cats, and a newborn baby boy. I enjoy trying local craft beers, working around the house, and woodworking in my free time.

I decided to get into the home inspection because buying a home is stressful. I feel that with my attention to detail and background in woodworking and home improvement; I can give home buyers peace of mind during this process.

I am a rare Charlotte native who grew up in Concord and the surrounding areas. I spend my free time improving my home, trail running and, working on cars. Having graduated from UNC Charlotte with a B.S. in Civil Engineering Technology, a close friend working as a realtor suggested that Home Inspection would be a great fit for my education, acquired skills, and natural abilities.
